This year’s Baltimore Motor Trend
was an even more success than last year’s. Vivid
was asked again by Motor Trend to host the Tuner Salon
for the 2004 Baltimore Motor Trend International Show,
by ourselves. Instead of just 8 cars like last year,
Motor Trend wanted us to bring 18 cars, and that is
what we gave them. Unfortunately not everyone from
V.I. could commit their cars from Jan. 15th –
19th, so we had to do some outside invites to some
people we knew. Such as Shawn from Canton Customs
with his WRX, Artie from Audio Connections, with his
Prelude, Greg from Auto Eurotec, with his Eclipse,
who brought a RSX & Civic, Clint with his Civic,
& Kahra with her Tiburon. From V.I. were me, with
the Celica, Lauri and her Jetta, Dan with his Civic,
Tara with her Yellow MP3, Derrick with his Blue MP3,
Tony M. with his Firebird, Tony D. with the P5, Gary
with his Integra, Henry with his Cougar, Chris with
his Mustang, & T.J. with his Spec-V. All went
well with the 2 different roll in times, except for
me and Clint who had a bit of a delay, but it all
got taken care of. The craziness started on Thursday
night as Motor Trend kicked off and we got to work.
In 5 days of advertising we handed out 4,000 flyers,
all the members business cards, all our sponsorship
flyers & business cards, etc. By Sunday night,
a day before M.T. was finished, we were out of advertisements.
The web site had over 100,000 hits in those 5 days,
20+ Join Forms signed, and plenty new registered users
on our Message Board. It was just and overall success.
Mike did his thing with 92 Q again going live on the
radio, as well as other local stations. All went well
from Roll-In to Roll-Out. We like to thank Motor Trend
for having us again and we are looking forward to
next year’s show and the upcoming Richmond Motor
Trend show, March 5th – 7th. We also like to
thank our sponsors, Speedesign graphics & Extreme
Body & Paint, for their support as well as all
the V.I. members and associates for their help on
making this year’s Baltimore Motor Trend International
Auto Show a huge success!
