MCA Grand Slam Car Show
May 16th, 2004

This was a blazin' hot Sunday morning. Since VI was holding it down and representing at the annual import show in Carlise, PA, I would hold it down and represent locally. I was a little tired, myself and several members of VI participated in The St. Claire show the evening before. With the help of my sweetie, Ace I prepared for what I thought would be a short 30 minute drive to the car show. What was supposed to be about 30 minutes turned into 80 minutes. After driving up and down the same street several times...I decided it was time to contact the experts. Since, my sweetie was following me in my Avalanche we called and got directions from the Onstar. Within 10 minutes we arrived at the show which was held at Benjamin Franklin Jr. High School in Baltimore City. This was a benefit show to raise money for the school. I felt much better when I found out I was not the only person who had gotten lost. Some practical jokster(s) had turned the street signs around. By 12:30 PM everyone had found their way to the show. I would like to thank my buddy Kadeem for using my car to demonstrate his Waterless Car Wash products. It made my car shine! When you do an MCA show...you better clean every nook and cranny. These judges pay extra close attention to cleanliness. Now, that my car was done, I could socialize with some of my buddies from other clubs- Sudden Impact, Street Illusions, and Toys with Noize. Bear was there with his Avalanche, his crew and the Blingin' yellow Mazda RX8. Everyone was trying to stay cool the best way they could as we waited for awards. The show took place on an asphalt parking lot with no shade insight. It had to be at least 98 degrees. Just before we all became puddles, awards were presented. Toys with Noize won the club participation award and I brought home a "Top 50 Judged Vehicles Award". A good sweaty time was had by all.
