MIR: Imports Vs. Domestics
November 9,2003

VI’s last show of the season down at Budds Creek on a cold Sunday in November. I was in attendance and showing along with Tina, Elvin, and Tony D. Henry and a few friends came to support us. The rest of VI had taken a vacation that weekend so there were not many of us in there. It was a frigid day down in Budds Creek as we met up with another local car club and drove down. On the way down to the event, the Tiger Stripped Del Soul’s engine blew in the tunnel so all of us waited around for awhile before a tow truck came and was reported as a ten car accident. Tina and I had left after the tow truck came because we needed to get there for show registration, after getting lost for a while we found our way and were only a half hour late, Tony D. had already met us down there so he missed all of the fun. After cleaning the up the cars, we walked around to check out the other cars and watched some of the races. Judging time came shortly after and it took them awhile to get to us so we just enjoyed the time and tried to do some recruiting in the process. After judging the boys went to watch some more races. After the judges were finished we all went back for yet more racing. Time went buy pretty fast and five O’clock came before we knew it. Unfortunately we did not win any awards that day but despite the wintry weather we had lots of fun and enjoyed the races.
